SCUBATech's dive boat, the SEA COBRA, is the fastest and most comfortable for its size in the area. She is a 45 ft' crewboat custom designed for maximum diver safety and comfort. There are tank racks and bench seats designed for the SCUBA diver's comfort, two drop-down ladders on a spacious plaform, and two giant-stride entry points. She also has a spacious passenger cabin that can be heated in the winter months. The best, most popular SCUBA diving begins just three miles from Destin Pass. Destin is well known for its fantastic natural reef system. These reefs are limestone rock ledges covered with soft corals, sponges and an abundance of tropical fish. They also provide a home for the shovelnose and spiney lobster. These reefs range from 2 to 10 feet in height at a depth of 75 to 110 feet. The observant SCUBA diver will also notice many different types of shells and the photographer will be surprised at the maginificent underwater scenery. The wreck diving is also excellent ranging in depths of 58 to 110 feet. There are three barges, two Liberty ships, LST and LCM landing crafts, airplanes, tugboats, the old Destin bridge and much more! Grouper, cobia, snapper, flounder, and amberjack are some of the most common fish found of the wrecks. The most popular beach dive for SCUBA and snorkel is the Destin jetties, at the entrance to the Destin Pass. The jetties are known to attract many game fish as well as the tropical varieties. Shell collecting is popular here for both the snorkeler and the SCUBA diver. The depth ranges from a few inches to 55 feet with a normal visibility of 30 to 40 feet.
